fedora 4 & windows dual boot won't work

dear friends,

i installed fedora 4 in a separate IDE hardisk and tried to dual boot it with windows in an installed scsi drive. before installation windows is working. however after installing fedora 4 when i booted from GRUB windows OS i got this display text from the console.

Booting 'Windows'

rootnoverify (hd1,0)
chainloader +1

Error 13: invalid or unsupported executable format

press any key to continue....

i wonder just how i can open the windows OS again!

thanks for any help.

boot your machine with a windows boot floppy. After the command prompt appears,

type fdisk /mbr at the command prompt.

Reboot the system. Now your system will boot directly into windows.

Reboot your system with Linux CD and type "linux rescue" at the prompt that appears. You will have to wait awhile to get a prompt.here do "grub-install /dev/hda"(or your HD label here)

Thats it.reboot

1. is hda the disk for the linux?
2. after this will the original display where fedora and windows OS for choices appear?

thanks again.

I cant say it for sure. Please try to run this command at the rescue prompt that appears.

fdisk -l

If you find that anything like /dev/hdb is mentioned,

you should do

grub-install /dev/hdb
