fedora & mandrake dual boot?

im just asking for some guideline on how to make dual boot with FC3 & mandrake-10.1. how do i go about installing the two distro and which one should i install first to minimise errors. btw i already have install mandrake-10.1 now need help installing FC3 . is it possible to use the same root partition for FC3 which is used by mandrake-10.1 and also about the /boot partition or do i need to create a separate partition for root for FC3. i know swap can be used by both.

pls give the details or direct me to the correct forum or website. i' ll be doing a search on this also.

thnx.

I think using the same root partition would make them both very angry. (some files would get overwritten, etc. etc. etc.)

And, just out of curiosity, why do you need to dual boot two distros?

oh ok. just want to have the best of both worlds. i have problems compiling my own kernel so since FC3 uses 2.6.9 and updated packages plus kde-3.3.1 and to play around with since installing linux just for browsing, emails and chat makes me kinda boring thats why having more distro allows me to play around. im sure the ppl here have more than 1 distro in their computer. should ask them why they want to have more distros installed.
