FDISK Question

I am doing a dual boot --

-installed Win2k
-installed Linux

It still boots Windows.... Errr...

What partition do I set to be active, and how do I set it?

Do I set
/boot active at bootup
or /

(I would suppose boot).

How do I do that? What commands do I need to issue?

I'm a newbie to Linux, and I'm really liking Linux... I just need the uh dual boot!

Thanks!

You need to install a boot loader, I recommend Grub. As far as being marked as bootable, linux doesn't care one way or another... I know dos needed its volume marked as bootable, I'm not sure if windows cares or not.

This shouldn't really matter, just put your linux bootloader onto the mbr. You should be able to do this using one of your rescue/install cds.
