fdisk question

Im running gentoo 1.4, and im trying to use fdisk to make a new drive for storage. now, ive formatted the extra space as /dev/hda4, set it as an extended partition. but i cant mount the new drive, i added it into fstab, but it wont mount on startup, and wont mount when i try to manually mount it in /mnt/storage.

Any thoughts?

did you do
Code:
mke2fs -j /dev/hda4
Fdisk makes the partition, but you have to fromat it. The above command will make it an ext3 formatted partition.

HTH!
