Unhappy FC 5 install GNOME cursor theme

Can anyone tell me how to install a cursor theme in GNOME FC5?
I cannot figure it out and the help solutions don't seem to work either.
Appreciate any help!

You need to extract the contents of the tarball containing the cursor theme and copy them to ~/.icons. To change the cursor theme go to Desktop -> Preferences -> Mouse -> Cursors.

A scholar for sure. Thank you.
I get a quick error window entering the mouse setup (so quick I cannot read) but everything else works fine. Thank you very much.
