[Solved] Extremely Slow Internet Connection on Slack

Whenever I try to load a page in slackware 12, in either Konquerer, Firefox, or Seamonkey, it takes between 5sec and 2 minutes to "Look up" the site, and after it finishes "Looking up" the site, it loads is less than half as fast as it does in XP or Server 08. I have already tried disabling IPV6 in the kernel and in KDE, with no luck. Any suggestions?

Jikki

EDIT: Download speed is also being affected... My connction is only 768kbps, so it usually caps out at 80kBps download in windows, but it's being wonky maxing out at 30kBps in linux and it falls to 5kBps and jumps back up. Bittorrent works fine...

Apparently it was just an extremely overloaded router. WRT54GC routers are HORRIBLE... A new WRT54GL and DD-WRT has rectified the situation. Sorry for even posting here, it wasn't related. =P
