Question Errors With Aptitude

Hi Everyone,

I've been experiencing issues with Aptitude and dpkg (update, upgrade, synaptic, and Mint's package manager all seem to be broken). When I run :

sudo aptitude upgrade

It prints :

[ ERR] Reading packet lists
E: Encountered a section with no Package: header
E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/packages.medibuntu.org_dists_raring_free_i18n_Translation-en
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.

E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/packages.medibuntu.org_dists_raring_free_i18n_Translation-en
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.

Similarly, update prints :

W: Failed to fetch http://packages.medibuntu.org/dists/...i386/Packages: Something strange happened on resolution «packages.medibuntu.org:http» (-11 - System error)
E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

Any ideas on how I can fix this? I can use all the help I can get.

Regards,

Okay, so far as I know, that has been the repo I've been using this whole time. So how do I go about rectifying that?

remove the references to medibuntu from the directory
Code:
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/
or the file
Code:
/etc/apt/sources.list
If you don't know how to do this, then Google it.
