Error with LD_LIBRARY_PATH

I was trying to compile ksmp3player-0.5.1 in my SuSE 9.0 and then right on ./configure this error appears

Code:
checking for SDL - version >= 1.1.5... no
*** Could not run SDL test program, checking why...
*** The test program compiled, but did not run. This
usually means
*** that the run-time linker is not finding SDL or
finding the wrong
*** version of SDL. If it is not finding SDL, you'll
need to set your
*** LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable, or edit
/etc/ld.so.conf to point
*** to the installed location Also, make sure you have
run ldconfig if that
*** is required on your system
***
*** If you have an old version installed, it is best to
remove it, although
*** you may also be able to get things to work by
modifying LD_LIBRARY_PATH
configure: error: *** SDL version 1.1.5 not found!
then I've downloaded the new SDL but the same error appeard.
What am I doing wrong ? Something that i need to go to set up this ? Cos I went to ld.so.conf put some paths that but I think, hehe, I'm still doing something wrong.

Could somebody help me ?

Thanks a lot.

Do this command:
cat /etc/ld.so.conf
and post the output here on the forum.

After that editing of ld.so.conf, did you run
ldconfig, too?

Cheers,
Tink

/usr/lib/
/usr/local/lib/
/usr/include/SDLmm/
/lib/
/opt/mozilla/lib
/usr/X11R6/lib/Xaw95
/usr/X11R6/lib/Xaw3d
/usr/X11R6/lib
/usr/i486-linux/lib
/usr/i486-linux-libc5/lib=libc5
/usr/i486-linux-libc6/lib=libc6
/usr/i486-linuxaout/lib
/usr/i386-suse-linux/lib
/usr/local/lib
/usr/openwin/lib
/opt/kde/lib
/opt/kde2/lib
/opt/kde3/lib
/opt/gnome/lib
/opt/gnome2/lib
