Ok my droid isn't letting me post attachments so i am attemtping to do so through my laptop using windows. I got a different result, but still did not install. Bringing me back to wishing i could find which disk has a GRAPHICAL package manager so i could hopefully install it like i did in Ubuntu.....anyway the below screenshot is what my terminal brought up whn i ran the find command thing you said. This is beginning to make me feel like a complete idiot considering i installed, setup, and run archlinux on this laptop....well did run, i have to replace my desktop manager when i have a real internet source, but i am getting off topic. I ran the find, it shows two entries. i run the find and install....and got what you see below

Bah! No need to feel that way at all.

The good news is, this is the command you need to run (as root):
Code:
dpkg -i "/home/e-r/easytether-0.7.0_i386.deb"
EDIT:
As a side note, I can't say which Debian CD has the graphical installer because I only have the Debian DVD iso.

Thank you so much...now if I can figure out why I wanna be the guy, ii-esu, exult, holotz castle, and desktop dungeons cause ubuntu to reset back to my login screen, I think I would be very happy....well more very happy than I am now if it is possible. It feels good to finally mark this one as solver, I cannot thank you enough

Glad I could help you get it going. My internet connection is through easytether too. It's been that way for months. So when I see a question about it, I like to pitch in
