Thumbs up I installed Wine and configure this at Debian 4.0 r1.I installed windows software


I installed Wine and configure this at Debian 4.0 r1.I installed windows software like as PSIMDEMO 7.0,PSPICE,SSH etc. All are running smoothly but there is problem in PSPICE during simulation following error will appear in computer screen
"Simulation Error
Exception calling SimServer LoadProfile"

I can`t run Matlab.I want to installed Orcad10.0 with License file including Hardware Lock(Like as PSPICE 9.0).How to configure this. Pl. Help me

Wine works great for some software, but it's much better to use native Linux software where possible. For example, you say you are running a Windows version of SSH under wine on Debian? Why on earth? Use the native SSH.

Also look at the octave package. It is almost a drop-in replacement for Matlab.

There are lots of sites that list different kinds of free or open source software packages. Be sure to check out the Open Collector which lists software for hardware design. You also might find something under Wikipedia's software portal.

The Wine Application database has a little information about running Orcad under Wine.
