defualt download directory for ircII

in a terminal, i typed irc to start an irc client, i belive its ircII for knoppix. i requested a file through a ctcp command and everything looked like it was going through ok, but where is the default download directory....where is this file going to go to when it finishes downloading, and how can i check the status of the download. thanx for any help you can give

i would also like the defalut download directory of BitchX also.... or how to change it

/set dcc_store_path /path/to/directory

This can be done within BitchX or added to a config script

thanx alot
