DCOP communications error (amarok)

it seems as if when my SMART package installer upgraded amarok, it messed something up. because now everytime when i launch something i get this:

There was an error setting up inter-process communications for KDE, the message returned by the system was:

Could not read network connection list.
/home/todd/.DCOPserver_suse__0
please check that the "dcopserver" is running

and when i try running dcopserver from console i get this output:

Code:
todd@suse:~> dcopserver
/usr/bin/iceauth: timeout in locking authority file /home/todd/.ICEauthority
ICE Connection rejected!

DCOPClient::attachInternal. Attach failed Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed
ICE Connection rejected!

DCOPClient::attachInternal. Attach failed Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed
DCOPServer self-test failed.
iceauth: timeout in locking authority file /home/todd/.ICEauthority
after the popup error amarok runs fine though. it just shouldnt be three.

I figured out how to solve this, but thought i'd post a reply just in case someone has the same issue as me.

It seems like i had to delete the .dcop(whatever) file and run dcopserver with the --nosid and --suicide options.
