CXOffice/WINE Question
I'm using Gentoo and it is my favorite distro. I have Windows XP on my other partition, but I hate to dual boot. I only need to get Macromedia Studio 8 and Adobe Creative Suite 2 applications installed in Linux. I have both WINE and CXOffice, and I like CXOffice better even though it still uses an older version of WINE. I have two questions.
1. Can I update the version of WINE found in /opt/cxoffice/bin? Currently it is 20050830 which is still an Alpha version. I would like to use the latest Beta 0.9.12.
2. Can I import a Windows XP install into a Windows fake drive so that WINE/CXOffice uses native libraries instead of WINE ones? Will this also solve the current problem with the installer [since the MSI 3.1 has not been implemented many programs don't install, but run if imported with the registries]?
Thanks
