you can use K3B

same as any other program, choose audio cd, insert what tracks you want, hit burn.

Uninstall your version of k3b and install the one from here. Suse ships with crippled mp3 support due to legal reasons.

Just download k3b, k3b-mad, k3b-lame. Make sure all the packages are the same version. As for uninstalling software, you can use YAST or the rpm command e.g #rpm -e k3b.

Use Audacity to covert your .mp3 files to .wav files, then use k3b to burn them to CD

Be careful because the SuSE version of Audacity also doesn't include MP3 support. An alternative is to
go to the http://rpm.pbone.net website and search for the rpm's you need. In the Advanced Search page, be sure you click on "SuSE Other" so that the Packman packages show up. This site will also show what dependencies you need and provide links where you can download them. This makes it possible to download everything you need into a single directory and then install them all at once with the command: rpm -Uhv *.rpm.

The libraries libffmpeg0 and libavcodec can be extremely difficult to install. The writers seem to use too recent versions of common libraries that your distro depends on, so trying to build them can cause an explosion of dependencies.

All the rpms you need are on the site I posted. You can even go a step further and setup the guru repo as part of your installation sources. The instructions are available here. You can then use YAST to install Gurus K3b and all the dependencies will be automatically installed.

go to the suse forum (distros/novel/suse)
then read the jem report http://www.thejemreport.com/mambo/content/view/254/42/

once you have undone all the crippling that is in suse you will be able to do this

If you are confused, then maybe its better for you to setup the guru rpm repo using the instructions posted on the link I supplied. When you have done that, search for k3b in YAST and the Guru version will get installed along with any dependencies. Sometimes, its better to install rpms manually instead of using YAST. You can install all the rpms at once by doing something like "rpm -Uvh k3b*.rpm". You will however have to install all the required bependencies first. They are the ones listed in one of your posts above (libmpcdec, libffmpeg0, libavcodec.so, libavformat.so, libmpcdec.so.3) and they are all in the guru repo.

Trying to install an app without first installing the things that app depends on is pointless. Let the package manager do this for you by getting the necessary repositories setup. Here's another link;
http://wiki.suselinuxsupport.de/wikk...arewithYastcli
btw: this link links back to the one reddazz provided.

In the long run this is the least painful way to install software. If you insist on doing this the other way the order is dependencies (requirements) followed by the main app.

Edit/reddazz beat me to it. I type (read:think) slow.
