You need to edit the /etc/samba/smb.conf configuration file. There should be an example in the same directory, look for /etc/samba/smb.conf.example, it is a very good example usually, I suggest that you copy this one as "smb.conf" and make your edit in it, instead of starting a new config.
"man smb.conf" and "man samba" could also help to find out what all these things mean.
If you want, there is also some tools to write a basic smb.conf for you, like "swat".
