Question configure scsi (win98) drive with ide (redhat 7.1) system: HOW?

I have a Compaq deskpro en PII 400
with a 9.1 scsi HDD setup with win98 2nd ed.
And a 20 gig IDE HDD Maxtor setup as primary ide HDD,with RedHat 7.1 professional server version
installed on it.

I'm having trouble trying to ...
(upon bootup) selecting ,then accessing the scsi drive...
I have konqueror seeing the drive...in its file manager...
and able to access it...once X is started...
but for somereason I can't set it up so that i can select/access the scsi drive...with win98 ...upon boot. When i select the win98 option...it says : LOADING WIN98...then freezes.

how do I fix this...anyone know?
going crazy with this...
