./configure error with Grip

I am trying to install Grip 3.2.0 on Slackware 10.1.

I run sh configure and the script runs great until I get a message saying that although cdparanoia and all of its headers are there, it can't use them. It then says something about a bug with autoconf. As far as I know, my autoconf is current and I've installed the latest version of cdparanoia. Has anyone had this problem or have a solution?

I found the above on Grip's bug reporting page on sourceforge. It is the same error I get. (I would copy and paste the error from my own screen, but I do not have internet access from my computer yet).
