Compiz Fusion problem

So, I installed Compiz Fusion, and get the following error in my terminal.

Code:
[root@localhost phantom]# compiz
compiz (core) - Warn: SmcOpenConnection failed: Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed
compiz (core) - Error: Screen 0 on display ":0.0" already has a window manager; try using the --replace option to replace the current window manager.
compiz (core) - Fatal: No manageable screens found on display :0.0
[root@localhost phantom]#
Does Compiz actually run as a different environment?

try 'compiz --replace' instead

Oh and you should probably just run it as the user who is logged in rather then root.

What you do is log into a window manager like Gnome or xfce, and then run the above command in a terminal as the user you logged in as. You should have XGL or AIGLX setup as well by this point.
