clicking on .pgp files only opens the seahorse key manager - why ?

Latest seahorse and pgp. Been using it for a while without any problem. Previously selecting an encrypted file resulted in a request to select the key. Now if I click on any .pgp or .asc file (encrypted using my own keys) the only thing that happens is that the key manager opens and displays the list of keys at the "my personal keys" tab. What do I do ?

Latest:
I've found that right click on a .pgp file has a new option "open with decrypt file". Selecting this decrypts the file (after asking for the key) to the .pgp file's location. Previously this option did not exist and the decrypted file opened automatically in the appropriate application. I assume that this is a recent change in seahorse ?

so the new question is "how do I make the decrypted file auto open in the default application ?

Have you made more than one key for yourself? It sounds like gpg wants you to select one of the keys on your keyring to decrypt the message.
cheers,
