chinese fonts and input problem

I m using fedora core 2 and have installed the kde-i18n-chinese packages. I could get most of the kde and gtk applications in chinese . The problem is that fonts are very light in color and they dont show bold anymore. Also they are very small .

The /etc/sysconfig/i18n file contents are

LANG="zh_CN.gb2312"
SYSFONT="lat0-sun16"
SYSFONTACM="iso15"

Also, i cannnot get SCIM to work properly over gtk and qt applications .
Is there anyother good chinese input software ( or any configuration to make SCIM work properly ? )

Thanks !!

for me, scim is the best input method among other input software.
try to update to lastest version. now version 1.0 is already release.
here --> http://www.freedesktop.org/Software/scim

and try to edit /etc/sysconfig/i18n which contain the follow line
XIM=SCIM
XIM_PROGRAM=scim
XIM_ARGS=-d

Thanks !!
SCIM now starts up automatically after login in and it works for most kde and gnome applications .
However there is still problem with openffice. .. the cursor moves at odd places when u type in .. and the chinese text looks jumbled .

The terminal ( not in X) text does not come up in chinese ..... i get garbage text !!

Thanks in advance !!
