cd is empty after burning with k3b

after burning a data cd with k3b i tried to read the cd but the system does not seem to recocgnize it. mnt displays the cd drive to which i inserted the burned cd as empty.
the burning process itself seems to go right and i got a "completed succesfully" message at the end.
i repeated the burning just to make sure, but still had the same problem.
using mandrake 10.

Can you try reading the CD on another machine to make sure it's not your CD drive at fault?

Are you sure that you burned to CD instead of burning to file? Write to file that is.

i got the same problem like you when writed cd with xcdroast.
you may attempt to write cd with cdrecord instead then checking whether still had this issue or not.
