the very LAST BT5 is BT5 r3
and that is not supported any longer
-- read Backtrack is basically a dead os --

and the even OLDER bt4 has not been supported in many many many years

they will not install on "Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4" antique tablet

Did you even read the hardware requirement NEEDED to install
20 gig of drive space is the MIN. needed
http://www.backtrack-linux.org/wiki/...kTrack_to_Disk
but will install to a 16 gig usb thumb drive

To be honest, someone might be able to. I doubt I could.

a custom built image could be built
but .....
BT5 is not supported , so i would not even try .

but HPBaxxter if you RAELLY want to try

use the current Operating system for professional !! system penetration / security testing

Kali 1.0.5
there is a live image
and you can strip out everything that makes it "Kali"
remove the Ubuntu parts
and have Debian6
then strip out the not needed
and you have left
a min. Debian install

--- that is a lot of work

just use debain minimal install
or
a custom Slackware build

Me i am in the red hat family
so a live cd of CentOS6.4
but
it might not really support that hardware

Usually tablets have CPUs with ARM architecture, Backtrack is only available for x86, so the answer is simply: no.

Backtrack is deprecated, use Kali instead. That will nonetheless not help to run x86 software on ARM CPUs, you will need a different computer for that.

Anyone who knows how to use BT's tools could install some ARM linux and tools on a tablet. I doubt it would be worth the effort.

ALL of the added "extra" software is already in most distros repos , or can be built from source.
there are some custom metasploit "stuff" ( i will leave it at "stuff")
but I AM NOT going to tell someone who dose not already know how to use( and install ) the software how to set it up

i might have "gone to the 'darkside' with suse ( the MS deal not a black hat )" but this is NOT the place for system cracking

black hat ( and white hat also) is a PROHIBITED SUBJECT .

He didnt mention Metasploit.

But that aside, installing backtrack on an android device is totally doable: http://www.securitygeeks.net/2013/03...n-android.html

And there is a program like Metasploit for android called dSploit that can be installed easily for vulnerability scanning. Its not Nessus but its ok.

I would like to know how they do it. In that tutorial they use the Linux Installer from ZPwebsites. From the website of that program:
Quote:
Once you have the distro up and running then you can pretty much run and install any linux software you like (so long as there is a arm port or it is not architecturaly depenedent)
But there is no ARM port of Backtrack and most of the tools are not written in script languages.
