Can I get Ultramon functionality on Linux?

I'm running XFree86 4.3 on two displays with Xinerama enabled on Debian Sarge after coming from a Windows environment. I used Ultramon, and I really liked the way it handled things, notably maximizing windows only maximized them to one screen, the taskbar button moved from screen to screen with the program, etc. Is there any program/series of settings that can help me get this same functionality with Linux?

Looks like not. Interestingly, the Ultramon people have tested multiple monitors with Linux: http://www.realtimesoft.com/multimon/linux/
