I've just installed java (jdk and java runtime) and they work correctly. But while i was installing Netbeans 4.1 by the shell, it occured an error. That's

"........An unhandled error occurred -- specify system property "is.debug" for more information."

Can someone help me please?

i myself am a java developer and use linux as development platform and develop in netbeans.

can you please explain in a little detail what happened and how. I think netbeans is a gz tar, or are you using a rpm.

No, this is a .bin file. As i said, when i started installing this file -- netbeans4.1-linux.bin -- the text and the error in the console :

"Java(tm) Virtual Machine is being searched...
........An unhandled error occurred -- specify system property "is.debug" for more information."

By the way, netbeans didn't also work on Windows! So i think the problem can just be in the netbeans. But it works on your computer..
What can i do ???

And i have one more question to you because of you're a java developer. Which GUI Builder should i use ?? Which is the best if you know them ?
