Camera Download Apps

I am trying to migrate away from KDE because I am really dissappointed with kde4....so I'm looking for an alternative to digikam.

What other Camera download application will download the pictures from the camera into automatically created sub-folders based on the the picture was taken.

I've used fspot before, and it seemed OK. Not quite as feature-rich as digiKam, but suitable nevertheless.

Digikam has a "create date-based subfolders" download option that will do this.

This is all I do in the way of "photo organizing"...it takes far too much time to add tags and search criteria, etc. With the date based subfolders all I have to do is remember (more or less) the date the picture I want was taken and I can find it quickly.

So the ability to d/l in this way is important.

I have tried f-spot and g-thumb. As far as I can tell, they do not have this capability.
