Hey, sometimes i will download a file and extract it, and then it tells me to run ./configure and i always get an error message saying that i have to c compiler in mypath. is there an easy was to fix this or will i have to download a compiler? thanks for any help
You can alternatively (instead of going through your install CD and installing all the development tools) get:
apt + Synaptic
from www.freshrpms.net
And then use that combo of tools to install it a bit easier As well as other dependency-hell ridden tools.
