Question burn mp3 data disc to CD-R on FC5

I currently have about 7 or 8 folders of mp3s on my hard disk.

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of how to burn the mp3s to a CD (just a regular CD-R). Is there existing software on my FC5 installation that will allow me to do this? Or will I need to install software from the net? (which is a problem as I have no WWW access on the laptop)

I may be able to get the laptop setup with WWW access, but all I have is a SpeedTouch USB Modem and a Tiscali (UK) internet connection. Not sure if that would work ok with the driver I have on disk - the one that Tiscali sent me.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers,
Picco

I guess Fedora Core 5 has one of the following which can do it for you (check the applications menu's submenus, especially "multimedia" and alike):

- k3b (at the moment probably the best you can get for Linux, if you like it graphical)
- X-CD Roast
- Gnome-baker

In addition to this, if you happen to be using Gnome (well, KDE should be able to handle this, too) desktop, open up the file manager Nautilus (for example click your home directory open) and see if the Locations list has a "cd writer" option. I guess FC5 should have it; click it open (looks like a directory) and copy/drag your files/directories there and click the button to start burning the data on a cd.
