Burn .img DVD suse9.3

I just dowloaded something and it is a .img dvd file, I know how to burn these files with windows, but I am slowly starting to move to linux, and rather than move the file to my ntfs drive, i want to burn it right on the linux machine, can someone point me in the right direction on how to do this? I see tutorials on how to burn .iso and .cue/.bin but nothing on .img files.

thanks!

IF..

If you succeed in burning an .img file please let me know - I'm pulling my hair out here.

I can burn the files - but when I verify 'em I always get read errors at ~80%

Success - first of all forget about burning from a NTFS volume, forget about copying the IMG file from a NTFS volume to a EXT3 volume and then burning it - both fail.

Second - .img files are simply standard ISO files with a different extension - it as easy as renaming them to make both k3b and NeroLinux burn 'em.

Hope it helps !
