I am trying to mount a movie that i saved as an .img file to burn later. but while i wait for my new burner to arrive i want to be able to watch it. how can i do this running mandrake 10.0 offical?
Using mplayer using the -dvd-device option to specify the .img as a device should work. The same trick may/may not be possible with Xine or if you need the files in the image then loopback mounting the image would work:
Thanks for the help. installing it now.
also:
I know that in nero it will convert your mp3's and other types of music to a universal audio format that can be played in ant cd player. can mplayer do this also? or is there a converter that i can use?
