Unhappy BIG PROBLEM!!! Fedora Core 3 login screen

i started messing around with the login file in /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf

I basically changed the theme and the theme is a little fucked up, so when i get to the login screen on fedora core 3, i get a message that says:

error loading theme. can't open file /usr/share/gdm/themes/THEME1/THEME1.xml

The screen just freezes here! is there anyway to get into a terminal so that i can edit this file back to the original??

Thanks
David

EDIT:: FORGET IT-i figured it out!
just incase anyone else has this problem do this when the error comes up:
Ctrl+Alt+F1
type username, Enter
type password, Enter
Switch to Root
cd /etc/X11/gdm
rm gdm.conf
cp factory-gdm.conf gdm.conf

and then reboot your system!
