Question Audigy 2 fully functional in Linux?

Hello potential advisors,

I am looking to buy a soundblaster audigy 2 platinum in the near future, but before I do I want to be sure that I can achieve it's full functionality through linux.

I currently use mandrake 9.1 on a dual boot with windows 98se, but I hope to phase out my use of windows over the next few months, therefore it is imperative that my linux install works properly

So before I go ahead and buy anything, will I be able to use the full line in/out facilities provided by the card for things such as music recording and/or editing, and if so what software/drivers would I need? I have looked on sourceforge at the emu10k driver, but I unsure as to it's full ability.

Cool Hello

Hi

You can check out about your hardware compatibilities at mandrake homepage:

http://www.mandrakelinux.com/en/hardware.php3

There is just to look at the hardwares which are supported You can't go wrong with that.
I have particularly a Sound Blaster Audigy and it's well supported, although it's not under Mandrake Hardware list . Unfortunately, the joystick port inbuilt into my sound card is not supported, therefore, I cannot use my joystick .

Good luck
