Question Are there any open source micro image software for Linux?

I had set a micro-lab in home, and one thing I am missing is a good software for a microscope. I wonder If it will work as a USB camera, or are there any useful apps that I can work with. Mostly for recording and some basic video editing.

P.S.: The driver provided is only for Win, and it's not working very well, under Wine.

http://www.microscopy-uk.org.uk/mag/...e-process.html and http://vision.eng.shu.ac.uk/mmvlwiki...ntrol_Software may be useful for you. From memory there are several pieces of software which will work with various microscopes. You could also try Googling or Bingling or whatever for "linux <make/model of microsocope>" (without the quotes) to see if anyone else has had luck with the machine.

Thanks really much. I was not quite sure how this software is named in general. I'm going to try those right now.
