Question Are there any open source micro image software for Linux?

I had set a micro-lab in home, and one thing I am missing is a good software for a microscope. I wonder If it will work as a USB camera, or are there any useful apps that I can work with. Mostly for recording and some basic video editing.

P.S.: The driver provided is only for Win, and it's not working very well, under Wine.

You could also try Googling or Bingling or whatever for "linux <make/model of microsocope>" (without the quotes) to see if anyone else has had luck with the machine.

Thanks really much. I was not quite sure how this software is named in general. I'm going to try those right now.
