I manage a number of servers and desktops for many small companies in my local area. Most have dynamic IP's and basic routers on a DSL or cable connection. In the past, I have setup no-ip DNS, and some port forwarding to a single machine. From there I run rinetd for dynamic routing to other internal machines. Depending on their setup, I use either RDP or VNC for remote control. It's getting to be a hassle to keep up with all of this especially when the problem is rinetd has stopped running. I have used logmein and gotomypc before. I have a number of public servers I use for svn, ftp, http, https, smtp, etc. Does anyone know of an app that I can run on one of my servers which would give me the same basic functionality? I don't need anything special like file transfer, just remote control.

What I would like:
Login to a website hosted by me and send an email invite to a user to setup the remote software and join a session
OR:
Go to the website from the computer and setup the remote software so I can connect at any point

I would prefer not to require end user interaction since I do maintenance off-hours.

Ack they've been aquired by Barracuda Networks.
There has to be another product like this out there though, that is still under active development. This would have fit your requirements though, I'm pretty sure.
