Any why to get Files off Digital Recorder?

I know this is a long shot, but I thought maybe, just maybe someone would know what to do.

I have a Sony digital recorder, ICD-P530F. I recorded talks all day and need to get them off the recorder.

I had an old XP machine that I used, but don't have that computer anymore. In Windows, it only works in 32bit OS. My windows 7 (10) is 64bit.

I put in an extra HD, tried to install my old XP to it, but get a BSOD when it tries to install.

Like I said, I know it's a ling shot, but people on this Linux Forum have been a real help. is there anyway to get the files off this recorder?

Thank you,
Chris.

Yes, that Windows XP install disk is so old that you would have to slipstream updated drivers to get it to work on any remotely modern hardware.

If your appilcation is known to run in Windows 10 32-bit, how about downloading a 32-bit Windows 10 from Microsoft and installing it temporarily? The installer in that ISO will accept a Windows 7 or 8 product key, though if you're not going to be using it for more than 30 days I don't think you even need that.

The latest version supports Windows 7 64 but a quick google indicates it does not on windows 8. If you already have the latest version then nevermind...

The voice recorder does not appear like a standard device of any sort i.e MTP, PTP, or UMS etc so linux is not an option.

It did not work for me in Windows 7 64. You did give me an idea. My Windows 7 disk has the option to install both 32 and 64bit. I could install the 32bit on the spare HD. It would work because it's the same computer (Motherboard).

I don't think the blue screen is because XP is old. Should of loaded. I have a friend who is running XP on his computer in the spare bed room. It's a modern, SSD computer. XP loaded and runs just fine.

Thank you for the help,
Chris.

P.S. now all I need to do is remember where I put that disk. :0
