an issue to install SUSE 10.2 on laptop

Hi,
I download SUSE 10.2 and burn 5 CDs with bootable option.

I read the first CD and boot from my laptop(ACER AMD 64x2), but I do have the following error:
"The system Memory Manager (EMM386.exe has detected an error caused by a fault in one of the device drivers or program loaded in the system."

Please let me know why?

Thank you.

This is a windows error, not a linux error. Are you certain that you are booting from the CD? Check your BIOS settings to see if you re booting from the CD before the hard drive.

Thank you.

I set my bios to boot from CDROM first. Therefore, it reboots from CD.

Does SUSE 10.2 support AMD Turion 64x2?

It appears to support AMD Turion64.
I don't know if the 'x2' part makes a difference, but I would think not.

I know this may sound obvious, but did you get the 64-bit version?

Did you make sure you burned the CD as an iso?
Look at it with windows, if it contains just one file called something.iso it will not work.
