Alternative for VMWare?

Hi there, I'm looking for alternative solution to VMWare. VMWare is so expensive, and I wonder is there an opensource software that can be an alternative for VMWare. Which can install ontop of Window XP, etc.. and then use it to install other OS such as Suse and Redhat etc..

Do you know any? Please let me know, thanks..

Well, you could try Bochs. Its very slow because it emulates the whole CPU, but its fairly complete.

Good luck,

You could take a look at cygwin. It isn't quite the same as vmware though.
