a2ps text crosses borders of the page

Hi,

I have this problem already for a long time but now it has to be solved.

When I use a2ps to convert simple cpp files to a ps file I have the problem that with the standard values of a2ps the text comes outside the border of the splitted landscape page.

my landscape page looks like this, it is split into two so it contains two pages

the | represents the borders of the virtual pages
the x are chars that should be on the left virtual page
the y are chars that should be on the right virtual page
the xy is the line from page 1 that overlaps the lines from page 2, both are readable

Code:
| page1 | | page 2
| short line xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx | | yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
| long line xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx|xxx|xxyxyxyxyxyxyxyx yy yyyyyyyyyyyyyy
| wrap of the long linexxxxxxxxxxx | |
I am using a2ps 4.13.
I can change font-sizes etc but the wrapping only happens somewhere in the middle of page 2.
I am using mandrake 10.1 official. When i do the same on a fedora system it gives perfect layout. I compared the default settings and even copied the /etc/a2ps.conf file but in mandrake the problem remained.

any help would be welcome

Okay strange thing,

I just coppied the correct file from the fedora system to the mandrake system and the good file becomes bad. I opened it with gv and kghostview ... in both it is screwed up. So I think there is a problem with my postscript. but all other postscript files that i download are perfect, also the ones that I make with latex and dvips
