Unhappy a little help with open office...

Hi Everyone!

I've been using Star Office 5.2 and was happy with it except for composing web pages... I've recently installed Open Office and have tried using it... the problem is, everytime I try to save my work an error message is displayed saying: The operation was started under the wrong parameter and then the program abruptly terminates... What's wrong?

This is frustrating.... it says WRONG PARAMETER, the operation was atarted under an invalid parameter. Tried saving as RTF, said ERROR, the file could not be created. Tried saving as file.sxw said ERROR blah blah blah...

My brain is going like ERROR, bad idea, crappy software, delete, delete, delete... of course it's way too hot in here and I have the flu so it may be affecting my temper...

... Yoda: "Patient a jedi must be.... "

A little guidance please?

Got it! Got it! Got it! Got it! Got it!

The documentation recommends a network installation for Unices...

I just read the quickstart and not the documentation so it's my bad. I just wish they pointed that out in the quickstart guide.

It may be because of wrong permissions etc...
