the unofficial fedora faq...http://www.fedorafaq.org/#radeon...i tried to install it but the rpm doesn't work...the patch doesn't function obviously...so i can't do $ fgl_glxgears...please have anybody here enabled 3d accelleration? This is a hardware, not software question as it's your ati radeon graphics card which does the 3D acceleration. I can't help you as I have an Nvidia card and hence no experience of what to do to get an ati card working. You should word the title of your thread so that it attracts the attention of people who do have ati cards, and perhaps you should post it in the hardware forum?

Technically it could be both. He is setting up the software side of the hardware, hence it is software.
