Über n00b question: How do you install things?

Right now, I'm trying to install Mozilla Firefox 1.5 on Mandriva Linux 2006 in the KDE desktop enviroment. How would I go about doing this?

try going to rpm.pbone.net and find an rpm for firefox.

Using Mandriva, there is also a Package Manager called urpmi. Once set up, this will automatically download and install the requested program, and take care of any dependencies as well.

To install Firefox, you could try

urpmi firefox

Alternatively, you can download Firefox from mozilla.com, and run the firefox-installer.
