X window does not open , i cannot use graphical mode
Hi Friends,
What i did in linux server. previously i need see my desktop know i need to use mouse. so i change the resolution 1620x900 instead of 1440x900 then its says reboot the server, i did it. Thereafter monitor displays "cannot display this video mode optimum resolution 1440x900 60hz".
i'm using only terminal mode right now, using- ctr+alt+f1.
Important : I'm using " Red Hat Enterprise 5.1 ".
Note : My monitor is Dell 19" LCD.

if i typed("xrandr") in terminal it says"can't open display".
and if i typed in terminal(# startx)command .
i got this Error Message:
hostname: Host name lookup failure
xauth: creating new authority file /root/.serverauth.7128
Fatal Server error:
Server is already active for display 0
if this server is no longer running, remove /tmp/.X0-lock
and start again.
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key giving up.
xinit: unable to connect to X server
xinit: no such process (error 3): Server error.
