While centos bootup seems to have some errors ...how to stop the screen
hi
seens my boot log dosent working ....on centos 5 while the system boot and check the services and mark the good ones with "OK" colored green i have 2 error that failed colored red "failed" but i cant see what the problems becuse the screen runing 2 fast i try to press space or cntrl break but nothing seems to stop the screen any idea ???
Check 'dmesg' after bootup, your other syslogs like /var/log/kernel, /var/log/messages, or if it's a service that's failing, try the respective daemon logs?
and in the log/messages dosenr have any errors i think the problems is in the /etc/mail/trusted-users

Is /etc/mail/trusted-users a file or directory? Assuming it's a directory, it sound like you need to
chmod o-w /etc/mail/trusted-users
In terms of daemon logs, the individual services have their own logs or log groups, so failed mail related services will log to maillog, samba services log to the samba directory, etc.
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 127 Mar 15 2007 trusted-users
still the same messages on srartup
is there is a way to stop the start up process to see what is the error?Jul 26 13:25:10 Elena sm-msp-queue[1975]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR(root): /etc/mail/submit.cf: line 544: fileclass: cannot open '/etc/mail/trusted-users': World writa
