we need to apply the ping filter or null route on the server side.

Howdy,

If you are on a system that is using iptables for the firewall, you would adjust the following rule:

Code:

-A INPUT -p icmp -j ACCEPT

to:

Code:

-A INPUT -p icmp -j DROP

This would DROP all ICMP (ping) traffic to the server.

If this doesn't help, please provide the name of the distro you are running.

As i am not using iptables so, i don't want to assign this policy locally.
what is ping filtter.?
