It depends on the 'webmail' you're using. Is it pulling information from a database or the system files?

If it's pulling from the system files, as root type: passwd username and fill out the prompts.

If it's pulling from a database you'll need to use some sql to update it or a front end to the database/admin interface to the webmail.
