webmail

I'm searching for a proven secure webmail for my server that connects to a local pop3.
I'd like one written in php and able to work together with apache (don't think that'll be a problem).
I had a look over at freshmeat, but I'm a loser at searching stuff.
So if someone has experience with such stuff, please tell me

thanks

I haven't had experience of actually setting any up myself, but my university and I've seen other people use Squirrel Mail to provide a webmail service. I'm sure a google or sourceforge search will come up with it.
