Ubuntu Server not booting up

Hello I have a ubuntu server not powering up after a blackout. The ubuntu server is on vmware esxi 5.5

Below is the last messsage on the boot up screen and it hangs there, no progresss

? rest_init+0x80/0x80

I need help on this one, appreciate any assistance

I managed to put the server back on by doing the following

1. on the boot up prompt screen
2. Selected Advance Option
3. Recovery 3
4. Did a file checks
5. Booted up normal

are you getting a lot of spam?
you might want to remove your email address from your username.
i think you have to ask a mod for it to be removed/changed.
