I don't know if this is doable, but I can conceive it.
So, here is what I want to do:
1. Make user on box 1 but have /home/user on server (box 2)
2. Box 1 connects to (box 2) via the Internet
3. Box 1 connects to box 2 via ssh
4. Box 2 is an ssh server
So far, this is what I have done
1. Allow passwordless login between box 1 and box 2
2. create /home/user mock on box 2
3. edit /etc/fstab on box 1 so that it attempts to mount the remote ssh folder (/home/local/BSB/cyberman/homefolderlaptop/cyberman) to /home/cyberman (local directory) on box 1
4. Tried to mount it
Supposedly, I'm getting some junk..
Code:
fuse: mountpoint is not empty
fuse: if you are sure this is safe, use the 'nonempty' mount option
Yeah, well, of course it's not empty.
I don't see how I can have the remote folder mounted yet create a user in it?
I've tried removing the /home/cyberman on the local. And then I mounted the remote folder and attempted on the local machine to make the user. The add new user gui feature in Debian will not allow me to make the user this way, as the folder already exists.
