The meaning for Openldap short name configuration files.


I have been reading the official Openldap configuration files, plus a bunch of other websites but I cannot find the literal meaning for the following short names:

dc
dn
ou
uid
cn


Please, anyone, clarify me.

Everything is defined in core.schema:

ou: organizationalUnitName
uid: userid
cn: commonName
The dn (dn: distinguishedName) is described here
