[SOLVED] SSL Certificate for multiple hosts behind load balancer

Hi All,

We have 2 Apache Web servers running Drupal (host1.local & host2.local) behind a shared load balancer in a remote data center. Our domain name is domain.com which we got from a different hosting company

How do I get a SSL certificate so that I can install it on both host1.local and host2.local and get that working for domain.com ?

Would I require to rename my hosts to abc.domain.com & xyz.domain.com or can I do something with the virtual hosts in Apache ?

You simply buy an SSL certificate for the domain in question and install it on every host.

The subject name in the certificate must match the DNS name used to access the service; it does NOT have to match the local hostname.
