Question Wildcard SSL Certificate on Multiple IP Addresses

Hi,

I've got multiple virtual servers with an IP address each. Furthermore, I've got a wildcard SSL certificate, let's say for *.test.com (a single certificate file).

The first server is reachable by server1.test.com (IP might be 1.2.3.4), the second one is reachable by mail.test.com (IP 6.7.8.9; will be an MX entry).

Now, can I use the same certificate file on both servers as the certificate is valid for both domains but acts on different IP addresses?

Best regards,
Freddy

As per my knowledge, yes you can. SSL certificates should have no problem with IP address
